A new generation of aggressive metal has found its way onto the local Los Angeles scene in the past few years. Instinct of Aggression is a five piece metallic outfit that blasts out thrash metal with powerful grooves and raw vocals that aims towards the head and will not apologize for their actions. Tonight's show is no exception, as they immediately brought out the metal and never missed a step the rest of the way.

Led by frontman Carl Bensley, Instinct of Aggression simply begins their metallic assault from the moment they hit the stage. The dreadlocked frontman begins to belt out his words into the crowd and at anyone who stands too close by. The rest of the band is simply banging their heads throughout each of the songs.Their dual guitarists of Tony Santi and Colin Reed, as well as bassist Ricardo Leti are all providing crunching riffs and getting the crowd going in small pits on the floor. Drummer Phillip Gonyea is the final piece to their sound, as he is bashing away at his kit as well.

Their aggressive sound definitely connected with the crowd right away. Where the band lacked in traditional song structures, they made it up with their energy levels and passion. This is something that many bands lack when trying to connect with the audience. Instinct of Aggression could help reshape a new generation of LA metal bands and setting a new standard of what is to come.
