Not sure how NotPaul works?
Haven't used the dropbox yet?
Find out what it is all about.

Why?

nice -- i'm just going to borrow the LA show description cause i'm lazy and it sums up pretty well why we need to get BOC to play. check it out.
********

it's only fitting that one of the inspirations for the creation of the notpaul site is the first band for which an event is created (OK -- this isn't valid for new york but this is like the 5th event created and boards fill two of those spots so...) why boards of canada?

bit of background in case BOC is new to you. boards of canada is a scottish group consisting of two brothers -- Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin Sandison -- although it took several years for the group to disclose that they were even brothers! the band came into the limelight following the release of their album, Music Has the Right to Children.

what makes BOC all the more enigmatic is that they've won a significant following without much marketing and without any touring (the band has played a handful of gigs in the UK). every year, the coachella boards light up with rumors and (mostly) hopes that BOC will finally be added to the lineup but it hasn't happened yet....

so it makes a lot of sense that a fan initiated concert may be just the thing to secure a performance. and it's fair to say that creative ideas from fans are likely to be critical to any live performance meeting the hopes of BOC fans so that the live experience lives up to the suggestive visual experience of the music. so i think BOC dropbox contributions will be amazing!

check Boards out on Pandora (while you can -- boo to the RIAA) or last.fm or go ahead and buy their music.

***********
someone should hook up pandora and last.fm to notpaul with some technology plug-in or something so we can listen to tunes for the bands.
