Why?
It's 15 years since J5 was formed and over 18 months since the group hung up their collective mikes. And I for one think they were one of the very best rap/hh performers out there for the past few years.
From 2006's Feedback right back through to the 1997 Jurassic 5 EP, j5 have produced some perfectly harmonized, highly original sounds and just banging music. With two of arguably the best DJ's cutting behind them (most of the time) in Nu-Mark and Cut-Chemist, the band had it all -- great vocalists and rhymers, and DJ's who could scratch your brains out at the drop of a needle.
If they are contemplating a get-together (or if they need convincing) I think they'll find the audience appetite is still global and still fierce. Nobody has filled their shoes so why not bring it on again.
