Why?
well -- start off by reading my review of lcd at coachella 2007. but there's the simple fact that lcd and james murphy and dfa are amazing -- they represent one of those few instances when the hipster fad outgrew hipster pretensions and became amazing to almost everyone it touched. instead of burning out in hipster boredom it evolved beyond what everyone should have hoped for.
since coachella 07, i've seen lcd play twice and (sorry daft punk fans) the lcd live sets rule. live, lcd convey all those human emotions that are more interesting that robot-amazement (marginally) through songs and through on stage presence and through interactions with the crowd -- the whole thing.
so i want to see them again -- if i'd a venue choice, i'd say lcd in the greek would be incredible but i'd love to see them in the el rey too. any which way, i'll take them if they'll come.
i'm bidding $65 and sticking with general admission because i'm assuming (if anything happens) that $65 will do pretty well :)
