Why?
Eric San is Kid Koala.
I wish (and hope for the day when) that were enough to fill the cowpalace for one night. can't people just go with me on this one -- it's Kid Koala!
in the bay area, we have what is arguably the highest concentration of world-class scratchers anywhere in the world. and if you haven't savored their skills at some point i suggest you get off your ass and see what the best turbtablists can do.
on occasion, some other area will produce an artist that is worthy of ISP membership (ISP=invisibl skratch piklz). Montreal has in Eric San aka Kid Koala produced such an artist. And what's even more astounding is that Eric is also quite the cartoonist having designed all his own album covers and the collectible program to go with carpal tunnel syndrome.
so i'm going to go balls to the wall on this -- why don't we give a guy who is a proven incredible artist a chance to do something really amazing (without Canadian government funding or without the help of the awesome Ninja Tune). check out Kid Koala and try to imagine what scale could bring to such a performance -- I've seen him play 50 people, 800 people, and support in front of 8,000 and more. He's always awesome -- he blows your mind.
So put yourself down for a bid to see something exceptional. Just do it!
